Bebaynetu
A 1 track world fusion single (4m 3s) — released January 12th 2024 on ATA Records
04:03
Neil Innes kicks this off with a deceptively slinky, loping bassline - the whole track is actually in 7 - before the flute takes over, backed by chiming vibes. The whole effect is decidedly North African and so tasty, the Sorcerers named it after their favourite Ethiopian dish - packed full of berbere spice. Like bebaynetu itself, this track is best enjoyed with some injera bread and a good spoonful of awaze!
Who's this? The Sorcerers? It's cool! This is great. Give me the cd man! - Mulatu Astatke
